New Parent Support

1671022714It’s 7 AM… and you’ve been up for hours.

“Am I doing something wrong? He won’t stop crying.”

“What is today going to look like?”

“Will she nap?”

“Breastfeeding is so much harder than I thought it would be.”

“Will I be able to shower or get dressed today?”

“What day is it again?”

“How am I supposed to get anything done?”

“I love her so much, and I’m so tired.”

“How am I supposed to play with my baby again?”

Mountains of laundry pile up.

There are bottle parts strewn everywhere.

Is cereal an acceptable dinner? (Yes).

The vision of lovingly staring at your baby as you cradle them to sleep in a perfectly designed nursery slips further and further away.

291453335New parenthood is simultaneously the most grueling and rewarding experience.

You are so in love… and so overwhelmed. You’re proud to be a parent… but you’re really frayed.

You may not say it out loud, but you are also grieving your pre-baby life where you could wake up at seven, go to a workout class, sip coffee at your own pace, and be in charge of your schedule.

Being a parent seems so much easier before you become one!

Our society quickly acknowledges a new baby entering the world but seldom recognizes that a new mother or father joins, too.

You deserve just as much care, compassion, and support as the newest member of your family.

That’s why I’m here.

You need a space every week where YOU are the priority, and that’s what our therapy sessions are for.

Our work will create a space for you to process this new phase of life – where you can get to know yourself as a parent. Therapy will help you connect with yourself (all parts of yourself, not just your identity as a parent!).

We will help you organize your thoughts, schedule, and priorities to get down to what matters.

Our weekly sessions will help you see the forest through the trees, giving you perspective on life beyond these first few years of being a parent.

We will help you connect with your pre-baby self, your relationship with others, and all aspects of your identity.

In just a short time working together, you will feel more like yourself again (not like a shell of your old self).

The time is now…

You deserve support just as much as your children.

And if you’re on parental leave or don’t yet feel comfortable leaving your child in outside care, you’re welcome to bring your infant into our sessions.

If you’re ready, reach out now for your free 20-minute consultation. We will discuss your goals, answer any questions you may have, and make sure that I’m the right fit for your needs.

You can do this! Give me a call: (203) 689-3494.
